During my recent journey to Bohol, I was fortunate enough to embark on an adventure that led me to discover the hidden wonders of some of the most breathtaking falls in the entire province. Mag-Aso Falls

My first stop was the Mag-Aso Falls located in the town of Antequera. “Upon arrival, the sound of rushing water and the sight of towering trees were greeted by me. A short hike down a concrete stairway led to the foot of the falls, where crystal clear blue-green waters were greeted by me.” I couldn’t resist taking a dip, and the water was refreshingly cool. The falls also have a small area for picnics and relaxation.

Is located in the municipality of Antequera, around 20 kilometers from the provincial capital, Tagbilaran City. The falls is a multi-tiered cascade that drops into a clear, turquoise-colored natural pool, surrounded by lush green vegetation. Pahangog Falls

Next up was the Pahangog Twin Falls, located in the town of Dimiao. A bumpy 30-minute motorcycle ride led me to the jump-off point, and then a 15-minute trek through lush forests and steep terrain led me to the falls. The twin falls were breathtaking, cascading down a 30-meter cliff into a serene pool below. The water was quite cold, but the view was worth it. I spent a good amount of time taking photos and enjoying the scenery.

Can-umantad Falls

Another highlight of my trip was the Can-umantad Falls in the town of Candijay. The falls, with a height of around 60 meters, are considered the tallest in the province. A 30-minute trek through rice paddies, farms, and forest led me to the falls. The trek was a bit challenging, but the view at the end was worth every step. The falls were majestic, and the mist from the water felt refreshing against my skin. I felt like I was in a hidden paradise, surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Lastly, I visited the Ingkumhan Falls in the town of Dimiao. A secluded area tucked away the falls, and an adventure in itself was had in getting there. A 20-minute trek through a dense forest led me to the falls, which cascaded down a 15-meter cliff into a clear pool below. The water was cold, but the view was stunning. I spent some time relaxing by the falls, enjoying the peace and quiet.
